installs

ok I have hoster precode for hoster 3108 next on my home or backup machine installed 403 and it installed fine with new 403 code. I did install twice because i thought something was wrong ran so slow turned of banner and then it worked fine or better.
then i tried to install on show machine laptop and it told me version code from this machine is wrong and it was from 3108 so not sure whats going on should i remove and install again or what. i only upgraded for singers list anyway but i knew something would not work out right i have it on the machine i dont really need it on only to add kma file and copy to show machine.
i was not going to upgrade hoster anymore because of this install pain in the butt stuff most of the time installs work fine but im sure you hear a lot about install problems and i hope you find a better way of doing upgrades for past customers new program is getting there lots to fix and add to still at this point but it was time to catch up with other manufactures.
ok so like i said i only have 2 machines one installed fine the other no when it goes to mtu site tells me precode from machine is not right and to me it should be ok from all the updates from 3108 to 403 has bin the same I did change my email from the precode order so let me know what is best to do. thanks.

ok everyone all is ok removed and re installed hoster worked fine only things is that when marquee is on runs very slow and takes time to stop track playing.
will add sp3 and see if that helps speed but i did all updates on home machine and still very slow with marquee on maybe mtu can fix this in time.

You can speed up the marquee by working with the Amount and the Delay in the Marquee Setup.

I Hope This Helps

This is not clear. Are you saying the Marquee runs slow (if so see Jim's post for fix) or that Hoster runs slow when the Marquee is on?
If the latter, what type of computer is your show machine? What is the Processor speed? How much memory? What percentage of your hard drive is free space? All of these factors can effect the operation of the program. Hoster 4.03 is bigger and requires more resources than 3.108 did.

marquee

Thanks jim but not the speed across the screen hoster program slows down works fine with it off. i run hoster on a shuttle 764mb of ram 1.2 ghz prossesor and this one has all the updates needed and when i say slow wow i mean slow like in stop and play on a song track. For me it is ok I dont use marquee at this time just letting you know it does drag program.

now my laptop is a newer IBM cant think of there new name will get back to you on speed but the ram is over 1gb but does need sp3 added works better on this machine marquee still slows things down.

10-4

Hoster is growing into one heck of a program! The more features that are added, the more resources it will use and WE ALL WANT THE NEW FEATURES!

My slowest machine is 2.79 ghz.

marquee

yes it is nice to see them all come on board at some point they will all be stable, faster operating and so on. Now that they have it working better for all the vista users maybe they will have time for the other add ons that look like they are comming onboard. very happy to have the name and the keeping track of the singers songs. I did find a small problem with editing names in the singers list like if there is a name john and you try to rename it to John hoster tells you name is already in the list.
