Question Import Video with 4.03 ???

Just wondering (I read 4.01 Manual, but not 4.02.) Will 4.03 import Video files into the database, as advertised on the Sales page where you purchase 4.02, as follows:

Play Video

Play VCD and DVD tracks copied to the hard drive (import to the Songs Database and Songbook in 4.03). All play controls (Start, Pause/Resume, Stop, Restart, Skip, and live Key Change - Multiplex coming in 4.03) work on all these Video file types on the hard drive: .dat (VCD), .VOB (DVD), .wmv, .avi, .dvx, .qt, .mov, .mpg, .mpeg, .m1v and .m2v.

Hey Sky,
The main focus of 4.03 was kepping the lyrics in sync all of the time, XP or Vista. This has been done but took some major work on MTU's part, many man hours of code slinging.

You, me and many others are wanting the ability to import video into Hoster but remember, if the program isn't rock solid (which it is with 4.03 ) all other features are useless.

There are too many Hoster users who are havning to use 3.40 and are missing out on the features Hoster 4 offers now. Rock solid operation was priority for these folks, video is the projected focus of 4.04.

Hang in there!

Jim

I am disappointed, but I guess I'll get over it Been waiting so long now!!!!! I have been reading the posts daily, so I know what everyone has been going through. I imported 4.01 on my back-up, but that's as far as I went. I continued to run my shows with 3.321 while waiting!
Rock-solid is definitely the most important!!!!!

Smile Let them finish4.xx

We all need to just be patient and let MTU finish getting the basics working like they should. I love all of the new things in 4.xx. I too am having most of the problems just like every one else. I have all of the confidence in the world in my Hoster system. Sure it is easy to complain, but just think how much more fun it will be to run a show with all of the new features working. PATIENCE

You are so right. I feel guilty because I've been running my shows with Hoster 4.0X for over a month now and it is awesome! 4.03 is about to be released which solves the out of sync lyrics/locks up problems some folks were having. MTU went back to their old player. Hoster 4.03 runs on XP, Vista and Vista 64, SOLID. I'm excited that soon (maybe tomorrow) everybody else will get to enjoy the new features at every gig, not to mentioin the features to come. I've been waiting for this for a long time.

Jim

I have been using Hoster for over 4 years. I have never seen any other software that can even come close. I do have a backup laptop and I carry 4 external Hard Drives ( 3 backups) with me to shows. I do not even carry 1 cd. If I could not use HOSTER I would not go out to do any shows. The guys will get it right.

many agree with you, if you would like to go vote on the poll that asks just that "I would cancel shows w/o Hoster", find that forum and vote away.
