Video & Manual

I JUST NOW DOWN LOADED 4.2 AND HAVE 2 PROPLEMS, WHDN I CLICK ON A SONG TO PLAY IT COMES UP ON THE 2nd TV BUT IT IS A SMALL SCREEN HOW DO I ENLARGE IT, HOW DO I FIND THE MANUAL SO I CAN DOWN LOAD IT. THE MANUAL WILL NOT COME UP ON HOSTER WHEN IT IS OPEN, ALSO TOOLS MENUE DOES NOT HAVE ALL THE ITEMS MARKED SO I CAN ADJUST THINGS LIKE I DID WITH 3.321

Resize it to fit the screen or double click on it to make it go to full screen.
When you try to open the manual what exactly is happening? Is IE opening and not displaying it or are you getting an error message?
Is there some reason you have to type in all caps? That is considered in forums to be shouting and is in general frowned upon unless you are shouting.

Hoster

Dale
First I want to appoligize for typing in capes, rekize that is frowned akppon and is offending to a person I just do a lot of my work in capes and did not stop to think. Will try to remember it from now on. Now back to my problem, i can get the picture on second TV but it shows the hoster loga going accross the top with a line under it and a line on the bottom, as soon as I pick a song to play the line on the bottom goes 3/5 quarters of the way up on the screen leaving the Kraoke box small with the words in it. I've tried too get the screen too expand the karaoke box but have failed. As for the manual I have my old one from version 3.316 but when I try to click on Manual button it does nothing. If I go to my G drive and look up the manual I can find it but can't print it because they are .gif files not doc.

You need to go to Tools/Show Display and change the settings in it. You will see that there are a lot of new settings to be able to set your lyrics, intermission, audio, video and preview displays the way you want them.
The greyed out commands in the Tools area is so that you don't try to make changes while a song is playing that would effect the display of it. All of them become usable when no song is playing.
The manual opens in Internet Explorer. Do you get any error message when you try to open the manual or a yellow line across the top of the window telling you that internet explorer has restricted this content? If it is the yellow warning message, right click on it and tell it to allow blocked content. There is no place to download the manual separately and even if you could it would try to open the same way.

Tahnks Dale I got the problem solved with the video showing up as full screen. As for the manual i made a mistake and tried to open it with Adobe and now I don't know how to correct the problem. But if the manual has not changed I would not have to worry about it. If it did then I don't know what I'll do. Any way thank you very much for the help you gave up to point.

It has changed a whole bunch because it tells you all about the new features.
If you try to open the Manual from within Hoster (top row commands "Hoster Manual") does it now try to open it in Adobe? If so then I can give you the steps to correct it.

Loading Problem

Hi Dale
It's me again, I found the manual and was able to down load it. So while working with the new hoster program I loaded up several songs to be played, then while runing a CDG I tried to down load a song off a CD and it made the karaoke song start skiping and breaking up. Any sugestions on what I need to do. I am trying to get operational by tomorrow night if possible if not I will have to drop it for know and go back to 3.321a because I do not have 3.40 I guess they are the same. I do want you to know that I respect you for what you do to help us who have trouble getting it right. Many, many, many thanks for your help.
bBy the way so far I love 4.2

Are you sure it is the right manual? I couldn't find any place to download it from MTU.
You do have 3.4 as long as 4.02 is installed. Look in
C:\Program Files\Micro Technologies Unlimited\Hoster for a file called Hoster34.exe. Right click on it and Send To Desktop(as shortcut). Then you can use it from there. It is 3.321 updated to use the version 4 registration.
Do you know what video card you have and how much memory it has? Also how much memory do you have in the computer? Both of these could effect the import. I have seen some problems with importing, but not causing interference with singers. We have always kept our CDG player in the rack just in case and it doesn't add much weight to it.
