Edit Songs

Has anyone experienced any problems with the Play function in the Edit Songs screen on Hoster 4.01? As seen in the new Hoster 4.0 manual I have entered an "*" to display all titles and artists songs to proof spelling and punctuation on all files at once and prepare for book printing. This is using the "Select Single" option. During the course of checking files it sometimes becomes necessary to play a file to verify the artist or title on the file. When I do it will freeze the Hoster window....I can't stop the file from playing or play next I must cancel the function. I must use Windows Task Manager to close Hoster...then reopen to start the process over. It does record all changes to files that were done prior to the closing of Hoster in this manner. I remember at one time in the past there was a similar problem with playing files in "Edit Songs" in an earlier version of Hoster but it was fixed. I do have 45,438 files listed in the edit songs window while attempting the editing process. I have also experienced some issues with the Auto-Fill functions on artist and title but they are minor compared to my main issue and I have been able to find a workaround for them. I have all updates current with IE7, SP3 and WMP11 on XP PRO. This is my backup and file maintenance laptop used at home. I have not installed 4.01 on the show unit as yet, so I do not know if the problem would occur on it as well. Anyone got any ideas?

For anyone possibly interested......

I have found that I can use Edit Songs function including Play in Hoster 3.4 without any problems but without the use of Auto-Fill.....so it means more typing so it will be a longer process to proof the files for a songbook. It has always been the same meticulous process with any book software before printing a songbook.
