Importing Zip files
Way back when, Hoster removed the normalize function. I have since done this with my files:
Rip CDs to MP3+Cdg in a zip file Run MP3 Gain to normalize the volume I store the files in sub folders by Manufacturer Import in to Hoster I have been holding off importing since 4.0 was announced, but continued to rip CDs and fix the volume levels. Now I need to import 1300 zips and am having trouble. I go to import hard drive files, select zip and NADA. After that, when I close Hoster, I get an error from Windows about not closing properly, do you want to report to MS. Anyone else having the same issue? I did get it to work once by going to the sub folder and selecting from there. I imported only one CD to test and haven't been able to get that far again even by repeating the previous actions. Before you ask, yes I have done all updates. Edit: While I was typing this question I had just hit the ZIP button and came to my other comp to type this message. It takes a LOOOOONG time, but they do eventually come up. For later reference, I am running a Core 2 Duo 2.2ghz with 3gb ram. Files I was importing were stored on a 2TB DROBO connected by USB. The size of the drive, or the USB may have been the issue. |

Or the number of folders and files (1300) could have slowed it down especially when dealing with sub-folders.
