Question Trying to import zip files windows will shut down hoster

I have been importing zip files just fine (have imported 44,002 so far), when I went to import the next folder all the sudden windows shuts down Hoster. Please help I have 10,000 more to import. I am running Windows Vista and have downloaded the latest version of Hoster.

Have you rebooted and tried again? Could have been just a one time fluke.
If that one still is causing it to crash then try the next folder. You may have acorrupt file in that folder.

Yes!! Done all that.

I have done a custom update, tried several different folders and even different brands, tried rebooting and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling Hoster. The only thing I have found that will work is to use Songverter and convert them into KMA's that way and merge them into Hoster. If you have any other ideas though I'm all ears. Using Songverter will take more time.

Not really what i'm after

Thank you for your input. I was hoping though to find out what is wrong because running it through Hoster is much easier and simpler. Thank you though.

There are still and probably will always be zip formats that Hoster cannot use. The number of formats is staggering and there is no way you can make one program handle them all.
I can't help asking, do you have all of the original CDs for these 54,000 song files? If not then you do know that what you are doing is illegal.

I'm well aware of the law

Thank you for your concern, but I have original discs and downloads that I've purchased.

Try doing a zip to zip conversion with Songverter on on folders worth. Then try importing them. If that works then the zip format they are in is the problem.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice, I'll try that. I did try converting them to MP3G and importing and that did work. It's just a little more work but it's looking like I have no choice. Thanks again.

Which program did you use when you originally zipped your discs ? Perhaps you used different compressions. It seems to be a puzzle. Try ripping the discs again.
