Experiencing new problem with hoster search

Hi guys, got a new laptop to run hoster on. evverything is working fine, except when i seach for a song (or artist or whatever) while another song is playing i get about a 1 second hiccup in the song. hoster is loaded on the C:/ drive and the KMA filesare on the external, just like I have always run it. it only happens when i search, not when i add a song. it only happens when i use the search feature, not when i use the drop down menu to find a song. it only happens once per song...what i mean is once i performa a search while the song is playing, i can perfom other searches during that same song without a problem. perplexing to say the least. at first i thought maybe i needed more memory so i added 2 gigs, but that didn't solve the issue.
anyone have an idea?
