completely unresponsive tech support- can any users help??

the folks who work at MTU seem to have no interest in answering any of my repeated support requests- no idea why.. not BAD answers, rather NO replies whatsoever, - (maybe they are shut down??) but i sent a request in about once a week since the end of last year.. so i appeal to any other hoster users for any advice you can give.
Hi there, I recently upgraded to 3.3 and it tells me it now supports my cd drive, but so far, in practice, it does not. chemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I actually have two different laptops with different cd drives, and I get the same error and program crash with both. Below you’ll see the steps, please provide any advice you can to get things working.

Win xp, Compaq Presario v2000.

1)From hoster, go to tools\cd drives

(in both cases drives appear)

2)choose OK.

3)go to import\import cd tracks

Select cd type, and track.

4)choose NEXT under BOOK ID ROOT.

5)Choose ADD DISC TRACKS TO IMPORT—

6)select all tracks but the last one ( just in case, although I have tried with and without. )

6a)note- if I highlight a track and choose play-I then incorrectly get a prompt to “click an imported track below then press this button again to play it” (it was already highlighted to start with)

7)choose PROCESS THE SELECTED TRACKS I briefly see a progress indicator, then the program closes. I then receive:

Hoster Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. And

AppName: hoster.exe AppVer: 3.3.0.0 ModName: hoster.exe

ModVer: 3.3.0.0 Offset: 000ba7a5

I receive this error every time. I have tried removing\reinstalling hoster, different pcs, different compression ratios, different cd drives, , I have tried checking off the software [processing? Forget the word] and different CDGs

1karaoke club pack 98

2top hits monthly pop

3 sound choice teen pack 3

4legends baseline vol 2 and a few others. All fail with same behavior.

I also get this error when I try just to play a CDG, rather than import it.

Drive=
IDE\CDROMHL-DT-ST_RW/DVD_GCC-4243N_______________1.07____\5&704B1D6&0&0.0.0

And second laptop is also a compaq v2000, but with a completely different drive:

IDE\CDROMTEAC_DV-28E-N___________________________A.6A____\5&2D04CCCB&0&0.1.0

Thanks in advance for any assistance,

Peter
