Hoster on my laptop - time to leave the discs home

OK I bought Hoster v2.209 last summer. I loaded it on my desktop computer (it was all I had at the time) Now I just purchased a Dell Inspiron 6000 - Celeron M processor - windows XP -

OK
to do this TECHNICALLY and LEGALLY - what do I need to do to load it on my laptop (I'm more than willing to take it off my desktop if that is necessary for legal reasons)

TECHNICAL ISSUE #1
I tried loading it on my laptop and during installation it was prompting me to put in a floppy disc. I don't even have a floppy drive on my laptop!

TECHNICAL ISSUE #2
what do I need to get the lyric output to a tv set? Is there a USB option?

TECHNICAL ISSUE #3
Any trick to getting my files that are on my firewire drive to link up when I go to my laptop?

TECHNICAL ISSUE #4
I'm all about using the latest and greatest so when I do get Hoster working on my laptop, I'm assuming I just need to purchase the upgrade and it will be easy???

THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH in advance for any help.

Hope you are all having a GREAT SUMMER!

-Sean

tv out

Hi Sean, you are alow to put hoster on two computers hook up to internet and install and it wont ask for a floppy it will transmit info to MTU to reg. you should have a s-video tv out on dell 6000 and a s-video to video block (Hookup) that came with dell laptop, mine did.
right click anywhere on desktop, left click properties, click on settings, you should see two boxs, right click on one that is greyed out and click attached,
make sure little box at bottom (extend my desktop on to this monitor) is Checked, that should do it. i know dell 6000 with pent-m will do it iam not shure about celoron. Bob

To answer your Questions:

1) Connect the Computer to the Internet before you start the Installation. You will then never see the Floppy drive screen. Also make sure there is no Firewall blocking the software from Going out.

2) This must be built into your Laptop, if it is not then the laptop will not work. There is no USB option that I am aware of.

3) Yes, the Build Songs Database Command under the Tools Menu in Hoster. Read the Manual on this. It is located at Help\Read Manual.

4) You can purchase the Upgrade now and Install that instead of the older version that you currently are using.
