mp3+g (two files) changing so microstudio can read them

I have several karaoke songs on my hard drive, they are two files mp3 and the .cdg, how can I put these on disc using microstudio as the program does not recognoise the .cdg file, I also have MTU's convertor program and tried to convert it to a .bin file and then change that file via windows explorer XP to a .cdg but I can't do that, you can only change the program that it opens with ie microstudio and it still does not recognise it. what am I doing wrong, i have these songs on my pc and i am dying to try them while i am out but can't get them to disc.

Convert to CDG

Explorer will change a cdg file to bin but not the other way around???

You will need a software that is capable of burning a bin to cdg because unfortunetly Microstudio can't! This is strange knowing that a bin & cdg are identical in this case?

The only software I can think of is CDRWin? Than you can use Microstudio to read your disk.

Regards

Unfortunatly, in this case the .cdg file is NOT identical to a .bin file. The .cdg files used in mp3+g are very different from the .cdg files that Microstudio creates and uses. I wasn't aware MTU had a conversion program to change mp3+g to .cdg files. I do know of a different company who has a mp3+g to .bin decoder. And once you use this program, you can then just rename the file extension from .bin to .cdg, you must make sure that explorer is set to display file extensions.

Lightbulb Program

I suggest you download the demo version call ***** 2 which has a conversion that they forgot to lock!!

This software is limited to 60 sec. on playback and in my opinion is not near the quality of the MTU product but for free you might want to use the conversion only?

You will be able to convert ALL your mp3+g files to bin so you can than after convert them to cdg and than enjoy Microstudio!

Have Fun
