Windows XP Question

Support,
Windows XP has an automatic update feature that is designed to provide up to date firewall protection. Is it reasonable to conclude that it would be wise to turn this feature off when making CDG's in Microstudio, as one has no control when these updates will take place, just as one should have the screen saver off?
