Hoster 4.32 crashing

I am running Hoster 4.32 with Windows Vista Home Premium. I am having problems with Hoster crashing whenever I select an audio (MP3) file to play. It seems to work fine when I play a KMA file. Any suggestions? I have checked all my windows settings.

Re: Hoster 4.32 crashing

It could be that your MP3 files are not standard 44Khz and 128 bit rate sampling. If that is the case then they will not play correctly in Hoster.
The other thing could be you do not have the correct MP3 codec installed. MTU recommends using the K-Lite codec pack.

Re: Hoster 4.32 crashing

I have randomly checked my MP3 files and they are 128 bit rate. I installed the K-Lite Codec Pack but I'm not sure how to make it work with Hoster. I'm still getting the program shut down after I've installed the pack. Any help is appreciated.

Will they play in Windows Media Player?

Re: Hoster 4.32 crashing

What error message are you getting?
Were these MP3 files imported in Windows Media Player?
Did they play in previous versions of Hoster?

Re: Hoster 4.32 crashing

The message I get is Hoster has stopped working and will shut down. Windows tries to capture the problem but never gives any resolution.
Yes they played fine in earlier versions of Hoster. I didn't start having this problem until I started running Hoster with Vista.

Re: Hoster 4.32 crashing

Then in that case, have you made all the changes required for Hoster to run on Vista?
Here is the link to the list:

Re: Hoster 4.32 crashing

The only thing I can think of then is you may have DRM turned on in Windows Media Player. This will prevent any song registered through WMP from playing in any other program.
I don't know if turning this off in WMP will change the settings for those song files.
I suggest you send MTU a Support Email Ticket from the main MTU web page and see if they can come up with anything else.
