Unhappy building song database getting tripped up

I have a new desktop computer running windows 7 and I have been trying to rebuild my song database and it keeps getting tripped up on tracks. (ie been importing now for 15 mins now and it is only on 900) Any ideas on why? Would it be because of headers like the remove silence errors? And one more q.. is there something that causes the headers to be wrong (regarding the remove silence issues) in the program or is it something on the computers end?

Thanks in advance

I am confused at what you are doing. Are importing with the Import Hard Drive Tracks or the Import CD tracks? Or are you Rebuilding the database from the Database Tool?

Is it giving you an error message or just being slow?
It shouldn't be that slow unless you have something else going on at the same time.
Did you do all the setting changes for Hoster before you installed it?

There is no error message, it just gets caught up on some songs for a few seconds, sometimes 40 or so then proceeds normally for a few hundred or so. Its not any certain song it seems cause I noticed that when I have restarted it (due to frustration) it gets caught up on different track #'s than before. I am not running any other programs and yea I did everything that is listed for vista (I have 7)

Not knowing Windows 7 I can't really tell you anything else to try, except to maybe look at what is running in the background and see what can be turned off.
Try checking here to see what can and can't be changed:
