Which version is best?

I am considering Hoster as my software. After some research I see it is much more stable. I currebtle have both desk and laptop p.c.'s. I have the plextor 760A for both (laptops is external). I have over 900 c.d.g's to bring in. I have my own book creator (Fast-Tracks which I bought a lifetime sub. about 8 years ago and works fine). How does this compare with the new 4.0..versions and Do you recommend the lite version? I have downloaded the trial version (version 3.319) and it works awsome. My only concern is if I use both computers to rip in the music and then get a new computer (desk pc is about 10 years old) can i reinstall on my new computer or is the code no longer good since i already installed it on two computers? Thanks for all the help. The website is top notch and the product I have seen so far is the best bar none. Thanks again!

I would wait until 4.03 is released. This should be within the next week or two. MTU is working hard at getting the problems out of version 4 that a lot of people are seeing as evidenced by the number of posts here in the forums about it.
What are you planning on using it for? Home or Profession? The demo does have the songbook part in it, so you might want to download the 4.02 demo and take a look at it. You might like it and it will save you having to build the songbook twice so to speak as it automatically builds it from exactly what you have imported with an ID that makes it very easy to add to the playlist. If you feel after looking at it that you don't need the song book then get the Lite Duo and save $50.00.
Most people pick one computer to import their CDGs from to keep from accidently creating duplicate BookIDs. Saves a lot of trouble when combining all the songs together, but if you are careful and pay attention to the BookIDs you are using for each computer then you won't have any problems.
When you install Hoster on a computer it must be have an internet connection to register with MTU. The same goes for uninstalling. That way when you uninstall your registration is automatically reset at MTU to allow you to re-install on another computer. So changing computers is not a problem. And in case it comes up no you do not lose your imported song files when you uninstall. They and a few other files are not deleted.
Hope this answers your questions and I know you will enjoy using Hoster. I can't even think of going back to lugging CDs around to do a show anymore.

Re: Which Version Is best

I will be using it for professional use. I am planning on saving everything on external hard drives. I was going to use the Desk P.C. to rip and the laptop when i do a show. I will try the new trial version as you recommended.
