Question Hoster 4.0 lyric and intermission screen problerm

hi i just installed 4.0 and i am having a problem with the show display/lyric screen/graphics tabs

the select image tab and the backgroud tab do not seem to be working properly in the lyric screen tab

if i select these tabs and change them in the intermission screen tab there is no problem

but if i try to change them in the lyric tab and hit apply the background color does not change to the color i picked and if i select the image file the image only show for a split second at the end of a song and then the intermission screen kicks in

i thought these tabs would change the background color behind the lyrics as well as the graphic behind the lyrics just like it does with the intermission screen

also if i select either select image or background image in the intermission screen when i reopen the show display it keeps these setting but if i do the same with the lyric screen it reverts back to the background setting

Is this correct as well?

Is this correct?

You will not see the canges you made to the Lyrics screen until a song is playing. Make your changes, hit apply and (or) just close the Show Display Setup Window and play a song. Then you will see the changes you made to the lyrics screen.

When a song is playing they lyrics cover the graphics area so I have not done any testing in this area. Wait for somebody else to chime in and I'll check this out for you.

Though the capability is there you will not see the background color or image if your lyrics portion fills the area. This is not designed to change the color or background of the lyrics graphic itself (this is set by the producers of the music and cannot be changed), but will change the area behind it, so that if your lyrics is not the full width you will see the color/graphic along the side. Best bet is to leave it all one solid color.
The graphics setting is really meant for the Intermission and audio screens (set in the Intermission tab).

Look at it this way James, you can put an image in the Graphics area of the lyric screen (or a color etc...) and Hoster will put it behind the lyrics that are playing but if the lyrics cover the whole area (like Dale mentioned) you will not see whatever you put there.

In a later release you will be able to make the lyrics run OVER a background image (see the "Transperent" check box that is greyed out). I believe that this is one of the times when what seems to be a "BUG" will be utilized down the road. I may be wrong but these guys (MTU) are good. Hang in there and keep letting MTU know when you find something.

It would be great if everything we wished for showed up at one time in one Hoster release but that's not the way it works. Rest assured that MTU has every reqest to date, written on a pad somewhere and all of them that are feasable WILL be in a future version of Hoster. I feel I can tell you with confidence that Hoster 4.0 IS the karaoke hosting program to beat AS IS, but wait until MTU get's it where they want it to be.
