![]() I have this morning read about others loosing thier .kma files after instaling 3.319. I origanally thought that my problem was a virus after downloading something on the internet. So I am writing this just to confirm that it is a problem with the programm. After upgrading to 3.319 on my XP version of Windows I did find the files that it moved, although they were in hidden folders, so had to go to files folder in settings and change the view setting.
Everything was working fine and I only keep about 4000 songs on my C drive but I have about 10,000 on my external drive F. still every thing was o.k. untill I imported my latest cd+g disc ezh-68. I played a couple of the tracks to check all was o.k and every thing was fine. I can't remember what I did in the mean time but sometime after this I clicked on some songs to play and recieved the message cant find file perhaps external drive not connected, but it was. I then went to the folder where I store all these files and it said folder empty. After pulling my hair out, I composed myself and got my backup drive out and reloaded about 9,000 of the original songs as that was all I had on the back up. All was working Ok again. I then proceeded to import the rest of the missing .kma files from the origanal discs. After a while I tried to test again and found it had deleted all the files again but only on the external drive. Just to let you know I tried a file recovery programme PC Tools File recovery 6.2 but had no success. I will probably go back to my previous version of Hoster. I was reluctant to rebuild data as I wanted to make sure I import all my CD+g's in the same order as before to save reprinting the books. Just one other thing I had also upgraded the MicroStudio Programme at the same time as Hoster. R. Dennis |

Hi jim
I am actually relieved to know that it is a fault in the programme as I had been scannining my computer several times for a virus and not picking anything up. Just glad it didn't happen whilst doing a show. Roy Dennis |

Read this Post about Hoster 3.320, and then download and install it.
The problem is in 3.318 and 3.319, now fixed in 3.320. We too thought we had a virus when we unknowingly lost files not related to Hoster at all. We are confident we found the code that along with Windows' random operations did the NTSF index damage. We are confident we have fixed the problem, but only you folks seeing the problem repeatedly can tell us it is fixed. |

3.321 released last night. Download and install it. It solves the problems of 3.318 and 3.319, uses the upgrades in 3.320, and adds a bunch of changes for Vista that should allow Hoster to run correctly on Vista.
