Unhappy Hoster Shutting Down

Ok, I think this is the needed information to get some help. I am running Windows XP Dell Inspirion 6000 with Intel Pentium Processor. I purchased Hoster and Suite 4 back in March of 2007, had previously purchased an earlier addition back in 2005, had some problems and I purchased the whole set again in March of 2007. I have Micro Studio 4.001 and Hoster 3.316. I also purchsed a Western Digital External Hard Drive WD3000JBRTL from Circuit City and I purchased Plextor CDR-DVD Burner 16x USB external mount MTU Certified. The Problem I am having is for one thing, is when I try to import songs into Hoster using Micro Studio, where it says to press button to look up the disc in the online data base, the drop down menu is completely blank. If I try to type in like Sound Choice and put a Disc Number in the Disc ID, Hoster shuts down. I get a message from Hoster Application that reads, "Hoster Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something the information you were working on might be lost. Please tell Microsoft about this problem. We have created an error report that you can send to us. We will treat this report as confidential and anonymous. To see what data this error report contains, click here." Send Error Report Don't Send. I did do as someone suggested and went to the Plextor website and updated. I also updated Windows, but I keep getting the same problem. They suggested the drive may be bad, but I don't think it is because I can import in Micro Studio but not in Hoster. If anyone has some more information that could help me I would sure appreciate it. Thank you Jeanne

Jeanne please keep your information in one thread instead of starting a new one. It makes it a whole lot easier to try and troubleshoot your problem.

ADMIN, please combine this with previous thread.

Unless things have changed dramatically in the import portion the programs, that may be your problem. You import songs from cd's into Hoster using Hoster, not Microstudio.

You import songs to the hard drive with Microstudio, which could then be imported from the hard drive into Hoster, but not direct from the one program to the other.

Being as I use the v2613 Microstudio, I could be wrong, but doubt it.

Like George said.
you have to use hoster import, to import a disc into hoster.
and microstudio to import to your hard drive.
not one to the other. Bob
