Singer Display Font

The singers display is blue, the font appears to be red and as the letters are selected the color appears to change to a yellow. The red and yellow against the blue background are very difficult to change.

When I go into the Tools, Set Font screen, I am not given an option of changing colors the way it is explained and detailed in the manual.

So, how do I change the font?

The only places you can change the font for is the Singer's Name Display (SND) and the playlist. The font and color changes for the songs are done by the producers of the music and not controllable by Hoster.

You can change the color of the font in the singer's name display. When TOOLS, SINGERS NAME DISPLAY, SELECT FONT is selected, there's a SELECT
COLOR block in the font change window. The rest is as ddouglas has said.

Font Color

Previously when we displayed the singer display screen on a standard television the font - as it was selected for the singer, the letters appeared in white against a blue screen.

Hoster stopped working correctly and we had to uninstall and reinstall the software.

Now the karaoke is being projected on a blue background and the font appears in a red color and as the letters are selected they appear to be yellow.

It didn't make any difference what song was chosen, the background was always blue and the font when selected for each letter was white.

The title of the song appears on the television in white against the blue background.

The disk name, such as Chartbuster, and the song words are almost impossible to read.

What we have now is not the same as we have had for the past 2-3 years.

There is no "color" block on the Tools, Set Font. It shows the color block in the manual but there is no color block on the screen.

The screen is the Song Display Screen - NOT THE Singer Name Screen.

update drivers for your video card from manufactures website.
use your settings, set tv should work at 800x600 res
you can set your computer res to anything you want but tv should be 800 x 600 or no more than 1024 x 768. Bob

I am not in front of that particular computer right now but will make note of your recommendations and will try them. I am pretty sure both computer monitor and the dual monitor/television are set at the 1024 x 768.

As Bob said your resolution should not be more than 1024x768 or less that 800x600. Also, check the "Color Quality" for the TV as it should be at it's highest setting as well. You may be sitting at 16 or 256 colors which will limit the choices for background. What you should be seeing is different color backgrounds depending on the producer of the song files.

I had a similar problem. What I found, after troubleshooting my laptop for about 15 minutes, was a loose s-video cable.

I will check the resolution on the computer and the television when I can get to the bar location. The television is an HDTV if that makes any difference.

It's the resolution settings on the computer for the TV that you need to check, not the TV itself.

You were correct. I went back and changed the resolution on the television from the computer settings and the screen on the television was perfect. We are actually using the 1024 x 768 on both. Thank you for your help.
