URGENT HELP NEEDED - Can't find database

I just downloaded and installed the latest Hoster version and although I can find my songs, playlists and databases on my local drive... when I open Hoster, it finds nothing. I know they are there, not sure why I can't see them?

Have a gig tonight, so I need help fast...

Thanks,
Tom

URGENT HELP NEEDED - Can't find database

I have tried the build database under tools menu twice and both times it returns a successful db with 0 records.

Odd thing is when I open my local (C) drive go to the MTU directory\Hoster... I can click on the playlist, songs, songbook, databases folders and see the files...

Yet if I open the Hoster program it doesn't find anything... the folders are empty when I click on them through the executed program.

Thanks,
Tom

URGENT HELP NEEDED - Can't find database

Beavis... thank you for helping - I am soooo frustrated right now!

If I go to MY Computer and open the C:\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Songs folder I can see my songs - 18.7 GB

If I execute the Hoster program and do a file open and click on a playlist or a database or a song folder, it shows as empty. Therefore, building the database reports zero files... quite the conundrum?

I have examined my path statement carefully and they are identical - this is mind boggling...

Beavis,

I did delete the path in my build statement and select it over... same results.

i would go to:

Tools/ rebuild database/ select the folder inside the window, then select delete.

then go and re-select the folder where the kam's are stored and rebuild database.

try it and report back

Can''t find database

Sounds like the KMAs are stored in a folder inside a folder. I had this happen to me and Hoster will not see the kmas. Copy kmas to main folder, delete the empty folder, rebuild database.

Tom, this sounds like the general problem with Vista. Is that what you are running? If so then you will need to either turn the UAC (User Account Control) off or you can set Hoster.exe to run in administrator mode. That will give the program access to those folders.
