latest version runtime error

i paid for the upgrade and upon installation got this msg. "runtime error! program...document"runtime error! program...documents and settings\rac\my documents\hoster3316setup.exe

-This application cannot run using the active version of the microsoft.NET Runtime
please contact the application's support team for more info."

I started a support ticket and am waiting for a response. Any ideas? Thanks in Pittsburgh

go get all the windows updates and use custom rather than automatic.

Upgrade from what version?

It looks like the problem is with the setup file itself - and/or the installer (installshield?), Not the Hoster program.

Possibly a corrupt download, redownload Hoster setup.

Which dotnet runtime do you have installed?
