More On Sweeping
Had an interesting experience last night. had one of those songs that was driving me nuts trying to avoid "shadow" on the first line of a new page. Messed around with numerous combinations of words; last line really loaded, 4 lines 5 lines, 6 lines, etc., all without success. Gave it up for a while and realized I hadn't tried 3 lines. Guess what ? Immediate success on the first try. Four more songs today with three lines, all perfect sweeping on the first try. Don't know why it works, and with varying tempos.Thought I'd pass it along, and will most certainly look at 3 lines more closely from here on in. Not as cluttered a screen, either.

![]() I often messa round, changing the number of lines on each song, and I have found that I prefer to use 6 lines on all songs. The fact that you found 3 lines to work effectively could suggest that the songs you have been producing have lyrics, or a melody which fits into a '3 line' rhyme (am I talking nonsense!).
What I mean is that different songs have differing verses and chorus patterns, so some work best with different numbers of lines. Ideally, it would be good if we could select the number of lines we want per screen. Or to simplify things, we could have a command which allows us to put a blank line in the lyrics, but that line does not require pressing the space bar to skip, so the cursor immediately goes to the next word in the song, even if there are blank lines in it.
