How to delete brand?

I am a new Hoster user. Tonight, I began to upload my CD+G library. The very first disc was BREAD, on Chartbuster Karaoke Pop Artist Series, 90234. I entered Chartbuster 90000 as the brand, but when the program found the selections and listed them, it changed "Chartbuster 90000" to "Bread" as the brand. I didn't notice and went ahead and uploaded all songs on the CD. Now, I have a brand called "Bread" and cannot delete it. I deleted all songs from my hard drive that had been uploaded, and then tried to reload them, indicating the correct brand. But, Hoster will not let me load the CD correctly, insisting that I must load it under the "Bread" brand. I thought about reinstalling the entire Hoster program on my PC, but am afraid that this will use up the second installation, which I intend to put on my laptop. Is there an easy way just to delete the "Bread" brand and remove all vestiges of this erroneous installation?

Welcome aboard!

First, installing Hoster on the identical same computer (not reinstalling Windows or replacing a hard drive, for example) will not use up an install. The second is used only when a substantially new computer is recognized.

I think what you need to do is go into the Tools menu, Edit Songs command. Locate the Bread brand (or BookID's using Bread) and delete them.

Another thing you can do is with Windows Explorer, delete your Songs.mdb file in the ..../Hoster/Database folder. This is where your imported songs are stored and indexed. Deleting your KMA files off the hard drive OUTSIDE of Hoster doesn't allow Hoster to fix the problem. Doing in with the Edit Song dialog updates the Songs.mdb database with your deletions or edits.

Let us know if this helps or you still have other questions.
