Video Window will not move to output screen

I have been using Hoster now for over 3 years and just upgraded to the newest version. I do private shows and utilze music videos to fill in gaps in the Karaoke demand. I have been waitng for the ability to play my video files in hoster for some time since I would no longer need to use a secondary software to play the videos.

The problem is that the video window is "fixed" in location and an unable to drag it to the secondary screen where the show presentaion generally goes. What do I need to do in so far as settings??? How do I get the video output for the music videos to go where the karaoke display is?

Have no problems with the Karaoke display that will move over to the secondary display with no problems. Thanks for any help you are able to give me

Read the Hoster manual section Singer's Display. It tells you how to set up the screen for Videos.

I still can't seem to be able to move the video playback window over to the 2nd desktop screen. I AM able to see the Karaoke Playback on the 2nd desktop and this portion is working fine.

It is when I try and play music videos that are on my hard drive, that are not karaoke songs, a separate, not the playback preview, window opens with the video being played, but I am unable to move this screen over to the 2nd desktop screen. As a further note of interest....the preview screen that normally will show the karaoke playback within the main Hoster program interface does NOT show the video playback while playing a music video.

The video screen takes on the exact size and location of the Karaoke Singers Display. Thus, once you have set up the KSD, your video screen will appear the same.

The manual states:

This screen appears while playing a Video track. It disappears when the video finishes, showing the Desktop or the Singer Name Display when using a dual-display graphics card, or the Hoster screen when using a single display.

This Display uses the same size and position set for the Singer's Display window, which can be moved to the full screen endges. If the Singer's Display is double-clicked to go full screen without the window borders, the Video Display wil appear as a window with borders.

You have to play a regular karaoke song while doing this.
1- Play karaoke song and move your mouse to the TV screen and double click. You now should have the karaoke song lyrics playing on on your computer monitor.

2 - Stretch the lyrics screen to fill as much of the monitor as you can.

3 - Grab the lyrics screen with your mouse and drag it back to your TV. If you didn't quite get it totally stretched before you can stretch it more now. (note: You may not quite get it to fill the screen 100%, you might have a slight border around it, this is normal.)

4 - Once again double click the TV screen (the slight border should disappear).

Now you're done.
Your karaoke songs will play full screen and your video's will play on the stretched out screen. If you find the slight border annoying you can use a desktop image that's dark around the sides and you won't hardly notice it.

Admin, I was looking for this to relay on but it isn't in the Knowledge Base. Could it please be added?

Thanks folks for the quick responses and fine hekp! Great community out there must say that this has been a pleasure and terrific resource. I've been using Hoster since 2002 and this is the first time I've ever had ANY issues with it. Findng such incredible assistance just makes this an even better product.

I am tickled pink that I now can run my entire D.J./K.J. show from a single interface.....
