Hoster 3.310 crashing with my CDR drive???

I have installed hoster 3.310 but when I go to import cdg's of various kinds and brands 50% of the time it freezes my computer up. I am using Memorex dvd/rw DL 16x drive. it will read cdg's but not write. I am trying to import 138 cdg's from scratch and having a very hard time with freezes on computer. Can anyone give me an idea or help. I am currently saving for a cert. plextor drive to buy from Mtu, the best on the market. Until then how can i avoid freezes?

First thing to do is post this in the Hoster Help. I don't think it is a New Feature at least I hope not.

Does it lock up permanently as in you have to hard boot or can you just go to task manager and close Hoster to unfreeze the computer?

There are a lot of things that can cause it to lock up
How much memory do you have?
How much space is left on your hard drive?
Are the CDGs new or have they been used? Are they clean and in good shape if not new?
Have you tried letting it sit for a while to see if it will finish? (There does seem to be a bit longer "prep" time with this version than with previous versions. Some people have noticed times up to 5 minutes though rare.)

When we opened Hoster up to use MANY drives, we also realized this type of problem will occur. We're trying to add some form of "graceful handling" of a drive problem so Hoster won't crash.

Identifying what is happening with this drive would be difficult.
