Still out there in no man's Land

Hey, if anyone out there can help it would be appreciated. There is another thread out there but everyone just kind of abandoned it. I emailed someone who said they could help but they never answered back. I have over 52000 zipped files that can as we speak be used with the sax and dotty show presenter. However, Hoster is a superior product and I bought it and would like to be able to use it. I appear to have what is several max compression files, especially in the bigger folders such as soundchoice and DK Karaoke and Chartbuster. I tried to play some of these files using the mp3+g method and it said max compression zip. When I try to open them the program I have doesn't extract them. However, when I try and play them on sax and dotty they play fine. Is there a program out there to extract these files so that I can import them as mp3+g's, and on, and on, and on. Any ideas would be appreciated. Sax and Dotty works with winAmp which unzips, uses, and then rezips the file when done. I have WinAmp and the appropriate plug ins for it to work with the Sax program, but don't seem to have WinZip, so I don't get it. I have some ZipFile wizard that pops up.... have a mac, so pc confused. Thanks for any help

One of the programs you can use to fix your problem is called MPGToolz but I can't seem to get a link to the program website tonight. Maybe someone else kn ows where to get it.

Read this post about WinRAR to possibly fix your zipped files.

Winace will also unzip these max compressed files. I have used it to do what you are attempting.

Thanks Admin

WinRar has fixed maybe 75 percent of the problem as they were a max compression problem. I have enough drive space that I just converted the archives to another drive folder, and then imported the normal compression files from there. Thanks for your help. Took most of the day to do 7000 files..... 52000.....ouch.

Surely the program you used to zip your 52,000 tracks when you first ripped your tracks from your original discs would unzip them. Which program did you use ?:
