Exclamation Hoster Locking Up

Hello Everyone, I had hoster lock up twice in the last week while at a gig. Hoster been working fine for the last two months since I bought it. I also have a cool pad under the laptop at all time, and I have cheched it. so it not over heating. I just upgraded to V3.303 today , hoping that will fix it. any other suggestions?

I have a Gateway laptop, with a Athlon AMD 64 processor 4000+,2.59gh,100gb ram, Windows XP SP2.

Thanks, Firewolf

Can you tell us what you were doing when it locked up, such as import a customer's CD etc? Is there a pattern you've noticed?

If you were importing a singer's song from their CD, then yes the upgrade to 3.303 did fix this. It was a bug in version 3.301 that was causing Hoster and even the computer sometimes to shutdown.

Close call, but actually 3.301 fixed this.

2shadow, what Hoster version were you running? You're getting the feel of what is needed to diagnose a problem. Facts about it that have been asked here is what is required.

Talking

Something like that happened to me a couple of times. I need to run Hoster with no other programs opened. I mean, I have a new laptop with Media Center and if it is open Hoster simply sends an error message and closes itself. I simply close the Media Center window and re-open Hoster and the problem goes away. It had happened to me with other software like Virtual DJ, for example. I think that you need to dedicate all the system to run Hoster and nothing else.

Hello Everyone, I was using Hoster 3.301 when it happend, I just upgraded to to Hoster 3.303 yesterday hoping to fix the prob befor this weeks shows.

I do run Itunes player for my regular music along side Hoster.

The two times it has done this, is when I'm playing a kma file or video file through hoster and try to add a new kma/video file while thats going on.

I'll pay closer att. at Wednesday nights show too see if it happens again. I was just to freeked out to give it much thought the first two times. All I wanted to do was get the music back as fast as possible.
