Audio dropouts while adding song from singer's disk Version 3.301

I use MusicMatch to play music tracks (mp3s) between singer rotations. I noticed that while a song was playing in MusicMatch and I was adding a karaoke song to the hoster playlist from a singers disk that the audio would drop out while Hoster was writing the .kma file. I tried this with a brand new disk of my own with the same results. I tried using windows media player with the same result. I also have BPM software and there are no audio dropouts while hoster is reading the singers disk and writing the .kma file. The only thing I can think of that might be different is that BPM uses direct sound drivers. I can't tell what Windows Media Player or MusicMatch use. I use the internal sound card for Hoster and an external Extigy USB sound card for the audio files. I have no problems when adding a song from a singers disk while hoster is playing a karaoke song. Does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this? I have never tried it before now so I don't know if it was a problem in earlier versions or not.

Custom Built Intel P4 2.4 gig processor
2 gigs of internal memory
Plextor 716 Drive(Master)
Plextor Premium Drive(Slave)
Maxtor Hard drives (5) Mastered
450 power supply

Thanks

Gpayne,
This is due to the Thread Priority of the Player/Importer in Hoster. We have our thread priority set high, so that you will not have drop out in Hoster. This is Equal to the Priority that BPM uses, so that when you use their program and ours, we won't drop audio. We had alot of customers complaining of this in the past, and this was the way to fix it.

Musicmatch would have to set their priority to that equal of ours for you not to get a drop out while importing a singers disc in Hoster.

Thanks for the info.

I can email musicmatch and ask them about this. I use their software for the music end. I could use the BPM and I like BPM more for the AGC circuit and the compression they use when you run in auto playlist mode but bpms screen is not resizeable. If BPMs screen was resizeable I would probably use it. I am waiting for you to complete me with your dj/kj software. Until then I'll make due with the others!

I have BPM but I don't use it much. You can't resize the screen. It is always displyed full screen. I like to display hoster at about 3/4 of the total screen size and MusicMatch for the remainder of the screen size. Also, the song lookup (search) feature is not as good as that of MusicMatch. However, as you say, BPM does work great with Hoster. It also has some very good features such as the sound samples, the AGC and a good fade feature. I will use it until I solve the problem with MusicMatch.

Thanks for your help!!!
