Unable to see singer display

Hello. I have read all the posts & Manual and nothing in them have helped me fix my problem. I have two systems.

DESKTOP BACKUP SYSTEM: 3.110 version, XP HOME with all updates applied, using a LCD for primary display, TV for secondary (Singer display). This system works correctly. I start a song, I get my preview display on the LCD and the singer display on the TV.

LAPTOP SYSTEM: 3.120 version, XP HOME with all updates (video driver too!), using the LCD for primary, TV for secondary (singer display). I know I have extended my desktop because I can see the desktop on the TV, Display setting show the TV as a secondary display. Note: I AM NOT USING the singer name display!

Here's the problem on the laptop: I start a song and I only get the preview display on the laptop screen. I do not get the singer display anywhere on either displays. I go to display pro. to make sure that Im in extended mode which I know that I am because I get the desktop image on the TV.

What have I done? I have used my pointer to "dip" into the edges of the displays to see if I can find the singer display that may be hiding beyond what I can see, did not find it.

I removed hoster completely and went to the store and downloaded 3.120 again, still the same issue.

And I think that it.

SINGER display

Thanks for the reply. It is the singer's song word display that I can not see, not the singer name display. Are you saying to use the same steps as the thread link you posted?

I had this happen to me once and it drove me nuts. Try this, as it solved my problem. Some how while dragging the extended desktop to the TV, i turned loose of the mouse and it disappeared, and I could not find it. Try reaching in all directions with your mouse, and see if the screen is just out of view, on one of the edges of the screen. I know it sounds strange, but that is whagt happened to me. The screen was hiding just out of view on the top of window. I hope this helps.

singer display

Thanks for the reply. I have done this by "dipping" into the edges and trying to drag the singer song word display back up to use. And you're not dragging the extended desktop to the TV, it should appear their when you extend your desktop to the TV. Just wanted to clarify this to the other readers.

So, I am still looking for a answer. I will keeping dragging on the edges and look into what beavis mentioned eariler.

I think I had this same problem with a much earlier version (2.215)

It happened when I was resizing the singers display window.

the fix that Support suggested worked. Heres the thread:

http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?t=4654

I believe the answer is on page 2

Hope this helps!

Singer display restored!

I went into the regedit as directed in the above post and got the singer display back on the TV. Thanks for the help! Doing those steps did mess with the wave audio setting, so go to the control panel, audio settings and turn up the wave to full volume. Also in the thread posted above admin say they were going to fix the min. size of this display, I don't think this is fixed. Take care
