Working with Hoster from a Network Server

I am trying to help Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA who purchased about 10 copies of Hoster to get everything up and running. They are running Hoster on a network with multiple work stations. All of their songs have been loaded into the network drive. When building the database on the work stations, no kma's are added to the database on the C drive of the work station so they can't play any songs. When building the database, we pointed to the network drive for the kma files. Once it completed, the songs.mdb is in the C drive of the work station, however there are no kma files in it. Does anyone have any suggestions or way to proceed? The network computer and all work stations are running xp with all updates. Thanks for your help in advance.

make sure the kma files reside in a folder on the network drive and try again

Re: Working with Hoster from a Network Server

ooops!

then point to that Folder on the network drive when building the songs.mdb

you should be able to do this at one workstation first, then install a copy of the songs.mdb to the rest of the workstations(in place of the one's currently blank). It'll save a lot of time.

Re: Working with Hoster from a Network Server

Thanks for your replies. The .kma's are in a folder on the hard drive. The problem was that the work stations didn't have authority to access the server's hard drive. Once this was addressed and corrected, everything works fine. Problem solved.
