Re: UK Karaoke Jocks

Hello Barney,
I have been using Hoster on my Shuttle PC for about 2 years, most of the problems I have encountered were of my own making, generally not reading the manual properly.
If you switch you will wonder how you ever bothered carrying all those CDG discs around.
The latest version 3,108 is the best, as development has carried on.
Depending how many discs you want to load really depends on the size of the hard drive needed, but you can get a pretty solid library on 80Gb or less.
Having a computer like a Shuttle allows you to use dual screens, with information for your use on one and also a lyrics screen for the singers.
The SN41G2 model comes with built in graphics and sound on it which are as good as separate cards and of course much, much cheaper.
I've seen other computer based shows (Non Hoster) over here and the majority are sub standard in both sound and graphics, Some just use midi. files.
Hoster rules OK.
All the best
Garry

Re: UK Karaoke Jocks

Hi Barney, Im fairly new to hoster, i did a lot of research before buying and in my opinion find it the best on the market, some of my local rivals tried to put me of from running from a laptop, with things like "the sound is rubbish" now they have seen it in action they have had to eat there words, its hard work loading your discs but well worth it in the end, I would highly recomend it, the help you can get from hoster help is second to none.

All the best brian.
