Re: Hoster 3.0 release date?

If you click on the Hoster 3.0 link on the "news" page of the MTU.com website you'll see that 12/7 is the new projected date. That of course could change if the beta testers discover any last minute problems. I'm anxious also, but happy to wait untill it's as good as it can get!

Yes thanks for that but i did do what you said after posting. I also can't wait sounds great. If i'm correct it sounds like you do not need to worry so much about haveing a dual display graphics card anymore.

Nathan,
Not True. You still need the dual display graphics. The dual display is at the heart of what makes Hoster a great professional KJing program.

Sorry Gary, not true.

Hoster can run with a single-display card. However, as you say, it is MOST EFFICIENT and professional when you have two. This allows you to see the Hoster control screen, and your singers/audience see the Singer Names display and the Singer Karaoke lyrics display.

Re: Hoster 3.0 release date?

Oh... almost forgot.

Hoster 3.0 should release next Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. The Beta testing of version 3.000 Beta 6 is going flawlessly so far.

Lord willing, we got all the bugs our great group of Beta Testers have been reporting. They een found one but that has been around for over 2 years!!!

They do an excellent job for us. Can't say enough to praise their work.

Re: Hoster 3.0 release date?

the link to purchase 3.0 at the MTU website still does not work !

seems to me, MTU is losing $$$$$ because of this. i would at least turn it on so people can purchase. even if its not ready by the 7th, i wouldnt complain !! its only $19.95 for the upgrade.

Re: Hoster 3.0 release date?

Oh no it doesn't. I keep getting "CDROM CD-ROM software delivery " message when I try to upgrade. Something must be wrong with the add to cart link.

Re: Hoster 3.0 release date?

It has not yet been released so it shouldn't work on the store yet.

What brand of laptop is it?

I have an old Dell latitudecpx500gt and had a similar problem.
All i had to do was edit the registry to enable the "extended desktop"

Go to Start Menu->Run
Type regedit in the dialogue box

On the registry editor window, on the left pane, click on 'my computer'

(*) On the registry editor menu, select Edit->Find
Type in "disabledualview" in the search box and check the box for 'match whole string only'
Click on 'Find' or 'Find Next'
It will direct you to the registry entry 'disabledualview'
Right click mouse button on that entry and select 'modify'
Value is 1 by default (means dual view is disabled), change it to 0

Repeat (*) until all the registry entries for 'disabledualview' is set to 0

this worked on my dell.......
