Re: Upgrade to 2.219

Try clicking your download link and see if it will deliver 2219.

Here's a copy and paste from the Policies section of the main page. It might help save some confusion.

"Do I get free upgrades to MTU software products?
Yes, with some restrictions. Starting with Microstudio 2.506, released August 12, 2003, we have a new security protection that requires a Registration Code to install. This code is created when you order from our on-line store, and emailed to you along with the download link to get the program over the Internet. This still allows you to get free upgrades within your purchased version number. For example, if you buy Microstudio 2.506, you can have free upgrades to any 2.5 version, which will be for bug repairs and minor feature additions. When we add major new features and change from 2.5 to 2.6, there will be an upgrade charge if released beyond 30 days from the day you order. For example, if you purchase a 2.604 version and within 30 days we release 2.700 version, we will give you a free upgrade to the 2.7 version."

Re: Upgrade to 2.219

Backroads,
As George stated, just click on your "Personal Download Link" that was emailed to you, when you purchased your Laptop from us. This will then deliver the Hoster 2.219 software to you.

Re: Upgrade to 2.219

Thanks, I just wasn't sure about skipping the ones between 2.213 and 2.219. Everything went great and I love the new changes. Thanks to everyone-DON

Re: Upgrade to 2.219

I have purchased Hoster 2.215 #2 just a couple of weeks ago, I want to upgrade to 2.219. I thought all I have to do is go to my email, find my personal donwload link and get 2.219 setup program and run. Well, so far, I can download 2.219 setup program but what code should I be using? The one I get when I purchased hoster? Or I have to get a separate code?

I tried with my original registration code it does not work for me.

Re: Upgrade to 2.219

Try installing as UPGRADE, and see if that works for you.

Re: Upgrade to 2.219

Well, that is exactly what I tried. I have this email from MTU when I purchased 2.215 #2 which provided me a product registration code that I used to install. Now that I have downloaded 2.219 setup program but it seems that if I want to run upgrade I need another number alone with my original product registration code. I read from the website and it seems to imply this upgrade should be free for me but I do not know where I can get an upgrade product code.

I tried to use the registration code on both fields during the installation but not working for me. Any other suggestion?

Re: Upgrade to 2.219

Hopefully you saved your email that MTU sent to you right after you purchased Hoster. Go to it and just click on your "personal download link". Just follow the instructions after you get there. If you did not save your email, you may need to email Brian with MTU. He can help.

Re: Upgrade to 2.219

You're not supposed to have to re-enter reg codes as long as you don't uninstall first. Hoster setup will tell you it's uninstalling a bunch of stuff which is ok, it will leave your registration info intact. If you uninstall or delete you will have to re-enter it.
You might try reinstalling 2215 and then reinstall 2219 and accept all the default stuff setup presents.

Re: Upgrade to 2.219

These posts are correct on the way that the program works.

If you purchased a version in the 2.1xx or 2.2xx versions then you have no upgrade Code to enter. If you had purchased a version in the 2.0xx versions then you had to purchase the upgrade, which gave you an upgrade Code to also enter with your Original RegCode. You would only need to enter your Original RegCode to install the software, and ignore the Upgrade Registration Code.
