Help!! hoster keeps shutting down.

I have been using hoster for a few months. I put all my kma's on an external hard drive, which seems to work okay. but, I am trying to save them onto my internal hard drive, as a precaution in case the external quits working. I copied the files over to the internal hard drive and rebuilt my database on the computer. hoster recognizes the songs (using search), but when i acutally try to play them and error box comes up and says it had an application problem and hoster shuts down. Then when I restart hoster, it says the songs database folder was not found and starts back trying to find my external hard drive. How do I solve this problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled hoster to no avail. Please help... Ohyeah, if I rehook up my external hard drive and work off of that it will work fine.
thanks,
Simon

Re: Help!! hoster keeps shutting down.

Don't know if this is your problem or not, but if it is hopefully this will help. Make sure, when you rebuild the songs database for your internal drive, that you remove the file path to your external drive and add the file path to your internal drive in the dialog box for where hoster searches for songs and where it saves your songs folder. If this wasn't done then hoster could have the application problem you mentioned and shut down. Hope this helps.

Smile Re: Help!! hoster keeps shutting down.

thanks... I had read about doing that in prior posts on this forum and had tried that, and still had a few problems. I ended up completely re-installing hoster and then made sure that all the things were pointing to the correct internal drive and it now seems to work fine.

Thanks,
Simon
