Possible Bug in 2.212
I installed the 2.212 Hoster Update and used it at my show last night. It worked fine, until near the end when we were supposed to quit. I deleted the remaining songs in the playlist, but did not close Hoster.
We then had a request for one more singer. I entered the song and when I went to play it, nothing happened. I deleted the song and entered it again. Same thing. I then restarted the computer and all was well. Wonder what could make that happen? It would be hard on the nerves if that happened on a regular basis. |

We have noticed (in beta testing) that if you happen to click 'PLAY' when the playlist is empty, the only way you can get Hoster to work properly again, is:
1. Exit Hoster 2. Restart Hoster (No need to restart the computer, although that works also) MTU is aware of this 'bug' and have it in specs for next release... Not sure if this is what happened to you but you did mention you deleted all songs from the playlist before adding the final song, so it is a possibility...? Hope this helps, Flip |

Empty PlayList
MTU is aware that, if all Songs are removed from the Playlist and the PLAY Button is clicked, again, without any Songs in the PlayList (empty PlayList), Hoster will not be able to Play any Songs subsequently added.
If Hoster is unable to PLAY a Song, due to this sequence of events, you will need to CLOSE Hoster and RE-Open it...then, either Songs, currently in the PlayList, or newly added songs, to the Play List, will Play. There has not been any situation, when this occured, that required restarting the Computer...only Hoster. Until recently, this situation never presented itself because the probability of Clicking the PLAY Button, without a Song in the PlayList, was fairly remote. But, a Beta tester happened upon this situation and was verifyed by other Beta Testers. Until this gets resolved, please do not Click the PLAY Button with an EMPTY PlayList. Hope this helps, Norm |

I don't think I clicked an empty playlist, but probably did, without realizing it. Anyhow, it is good to know that MTU is working hard to have everything work perfectly.
I have been using Hoster for about a year now and have had no problems at all. |
