Can't find database on reinstall

Hi Guys...

We've had to rebuild and reinstall Bob Rogan's PC, with Hoster... so that's XP reinstalled and EVERYTHING!

However his music files and Karaoke files were installed on a second hard drive and weren't affected... ( I knew there was a good reason to fit a second hard drive).

The PC is now running a storm, and is running two displays... but we can't find the database... having reinstalled Hoster, how do we reinstall the database to identify the tracks already on the hard drive???

Cheers.

This may not be the answer, but on the IMPORT TRACKS tab under the SAVE TO FOLDER button, is the path to the folder where the tracks are stored correct ?

When you say you can't find the database which one are you referring to? Are you talking about when you click on the Import Tracks tab, and you don't see anything under these pull down menus for the discs? If so, then you are running Hoster 1.208 and you should have had Hoster 2.011 sent to you at some point, this is the latest version. It has this database built within the one install.

If you are referring to when you go to the Play tab, Add song from HD, and you don't see any of your KMA files there, then this is the songs.mdb. When you reformat the system and start over, you will need to go into the Configure\ Build Song Database. Set the top Select Folder button to where your KMA songs are stored. Set the bottom Select Folder button to where your Database is stored which should be set to the c:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Databases folder.

This should get you back running.
