What version of Windows are you running? Did this occur when you Double clicked on the Microstudio-Demo icon?
Please search your computer as stated below for this ASPI driver file and let me know if it shows the correct version of 1.16. If not then please update the ASPI drivers from: http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?threadid=493 and let me know if this fixes the crash. To find out what version of our ASPI driver is installed go to the Start Menu, Left click on Search, For Files and Folders. Type in the filename wnaspint.dll (for Windows 2000 and XP) or wnaspi9x.dll (for 98 or ME). Tell the Search to Look In the C:\ drive. Then click Search. These files should be found under the C:\Windows\System32 directory. Once the file shows up on the right hand side of the search window, Right Click on the filename, Left Click Properties, Left Click the Version Tab. Then left click the Product Version at the bottom Left hand side. This should then show V1.16 or higher. If it shows V 1.14 then, DELETE this file by pressing the Delete key, and then install the ASPI Drivers in the link provided above.

1.16V is correct
wnaspi9x.dll is ver 1.16V
no I did not double click as that can cause errors in windows. Unfortunately i forget what i was doing at the time I believe it was playing a cdg file (microstudio made) and at the end it hit error. you have a problem with trying to make a 68 sec song, 75 sec with your demo program. I would assume the unlocked one will not force a 68 sec CD+G into 75 sec. it did color the track different (blue) as it found it was shorter than 75sec. it just did not handle it correctly. I would buy this program if some small things were done to make it a little more friendly, like an abort button while playing a CD+G, a default button to drive every thing to default, also a direct CD player (not cd+g), IE from the digital tracks rather than the analog cable. just like it is doing now when playing CD+G. not to many programs play CDs that way it would add value at no cost to speak of affter all it plays a CD+G disk. I have found another problem when changing color IE 256, 16bit, 32bit but really most normal people won't do that any way. it would be a waist of time when other things need attention. LoL look at my other post for system info. |

While playing a cdg and you wish to abort the track, tap the spacebar or the esc key. It's all covered in the manual in the Play Tab section.
You can also play regular cd's in Microstudio the same as a cdg except the monitor goes to blank screen, as there are no graphics, but everything else works the same as playing a cdg. George |
