What kind of computer do you have? It sounds you need updated drivers for the motherboard. Please tell me what type of computer or at least the brand of the motherboad. Also which HP CD-R drive do you have?

What brand of Computer is it? Or is it a custom built system? It sounds like you need to upgrade the drivers for the motherboard, if you can find out what the brand of the motherboard is that would help.

I'm not sure what you mean, but its says Intel Inside pentium III
is that it?its not custom built we buy it new. What I dont undestand is that before I downloaded the demo (the one to read CDG) and before I change the setting ,everything was working fine,so then I did uninstaled the demo thinking it might be the reason, but I guess not,I just want to put everything as it was but I cant,I do appreciate you trying to help me , thank you

If it is a custom built system, do you know what the motherboard is? This is the actual board that the Processor (Pentium III) is plugged into, including every other card in the system.

If you don't k now, it may say on the board itself, so you might have to open the system up and read it off the motherboard.

This is what I think is needed to find out what drivers you can try to download to fix your problem. You have a problem with your system, that when you turned on the DMA the drives went away.

I am searching HP's website for this problem, to find the resolution.

Sorry,
This is just the information about the IDE drives attached that it is picking up.

The motherboard brand and name will be on the main board inside the computer, or the manual that you would have gotten with the system. This is the only thing that Will help me figure it out for you.

Thanks for trying though.

This file has recorded information useful in identifying the manufacturer
of this motherboard. The information is listed below:

This is a start. This gave me your Motherboard Manufacturer. You need to find the actual Part number of the motherboard.

Here is the link the company's website http://www.giga-byte.com/

Here is the link to your Manufacturer's support page where you can select the part number of your motherboard to download the drivers http://www.giga-byte.com/support/support.htm

You need this number to figure out which board it actually is. The easiest way may be to take the cover off of your computer, then read it off the motherboard. From example part numbers on their website, your part number should start with "GA".
