Question display garbled

First of all I would like to introduce myself,my name is Doug,
I build computers.I've read through some the threads and
must say that this forum is a place for me. I've recommended
MTU to most of my customers and have NEVER had any
problems with thier programs.Although, now I have a problem
with my word display comming back garbled. It looks great when
I import them and set them, but, when I play the song back
it looks like the program was mixed with the demo.
The words are only partially there untill it sweeps, and the
colors are spurratic. I made sure all my settings were
correct and even reloaded the program twice. Is it possible
my link is corrupt? It sure wouldnt be a first for me as I have had
corrupt links on the web many times, and have dealt with
data loss on phone lines.Im using ver 3.100 and a 56k modem.
Any response will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for having me,
Doug

Try redownloading again...

Doug, did you mean to post this under Karaoke Pro Workstation Forum or under the Karaoke Home Producer Forum? Let me know and I'll move it if it is for KHPro. You'll get more answers there.

I have just heard of another user reporting this same problem. I'm not MTUSUPPORT so I don't have the answer. Bryan (support manager) will look at this tomorrow as we now have 2 users.

If you would, go to the Microstudio Tech Support Forum and follow the instructions for running the DXDIAG.exe program and where to email it. That will give Bryan a leg up on this problem. The more we know about your system, the greater the chance we might discover a corrolation with the other user with this problem.

This problem is one of those that is system dependent, so we have to find out what in your computer is causing this to happen. If we can, we'll program around it, but finding a work-around is the first step to get you running.

Question.... When you export the CDG song and play it in Microstudio or a Karaoke CDG Player, are the lyrics the same garbled appearence, or is it only in the KHPro 3.100 screen when playing?

Oh yeah... the demo and full release should never get "joined". However, I would uninstall everything that is KHPro and then redownload 3.100 from our website and reinstall it again. Let us know what happens doing this.

DISPLAY GARBLED

Tried redownloading and reinstalling and had same problem,
the display is garbled on all playback.I also was wondering
if I am understanding correctly that in the first 30 days
the download link can be restored at no extra cost?
The reason I ask is, with all the people I've introduced to MTU
products, I've never had any problems, so I am new to the policies on download limits, and don't want use my customers
upgrade link out.(my customer being the people I built the computer for, which is the one with this problem).
I have e-mailed my diagnostic to MTU, as I hope that will help
make it easier for you.

Thank you for your time,
Doug

Talking MY PROBLEM SOLVED

FIRST OF ALL, DON'T LET ME CONFUSE YOU, I HAD TO USE THIS NAME TO ACESS THIS THREAD FROM A DIFFRENT COMPUTER.
I HAVE FIGURED OUT THE DISPLAY PROBLEM ON THE OTHER COMPUTER AND THOUGHT IT ONLY PROPER OF ME TO LET THE AWSOME STAFF AND USERS OF THIS FINE PRODUCT TO KNOW WHAT IT WAS INCASE THEY EVER EXPERIENCE THIS SAME PROBLEM.
I USED A K7-DD7 MOTHERBOARD WITH BUILT IN AGP.
THE AGP DRIVER THAT COMES WITH THE MOTHERBOARD CONFLICTS WITH THE PROGRAM. WHEN I DISABLED THE AGP DRIVER, MY DISPLAY PROMPTLY CORRECTED. ONCE AGAIN, THE
PROGRAM RAN SMOOTHLY.THUMBS UP TO MTU FOR A GREAT PRODUCT.I HOPE THIS MAY HELP TO CORRECT ANY FUTURE
K7-DD7 MOTHERBOARD USERS.
THX, AND BEST WISHES TO ALL,
DOUG

Doug,
Are you saying that you turned off the AGP that is built on the motherboard in the motherboards bios? This is a really wierd thing to have happened. Most of the time when you place a video card in the AGP slot, it disables the video built on the motherboard, or at least from what I have experienced.

What type of AGP video card are you running in this system?

Thanks for all the kind comments also.

Wink

Bryan...

Some motherboards require that you disable the built-in graphics either through the BIOS, Dip Switch or Jumpers before you can install another card in the AGP Slot.

Among them, most ASUS and Gigabyte motherboards .

JON HIT IT ON THE MONEY

JON, YOU ARE EXACTALLY RIGHT. THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT WAYS TO CHANGE A VIDEO CARD/AGP SETTING.I AM MILITARY TRAINED ON COMPUTERS AND FOUND THAT THEY DIFFER IN MANY WAYS. I OVERRODE THE PROCESSOR(AGP) SPEED PROCESS
AND FOUND IT TO WORK JUST FINE. IT DIDN'T MATTER WHAT TYPE OF CARD, THEY ALL CAN BE TWEEKED. THE VIDEO INSET WAS A
NVIDEA G-FORCE2 2.112.

THX,

DOUG M

P.S. YOUR QUITE WELCOME BRYAN, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
