Solved: PC Does Not Play All MP3 Music in Stereo

Greetings,
Not sure if this has been a problem forever or not, some of my music is not playing in stereo.

For example, I noticed when playing "Dance to the Music" by Sly Stone that the organ solo (MP3 format) does not play on my Hoster laptop but plays on my HP home computer just fine.

Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated!

You are right, I am going to report the problem.

By the way which version of Hoster are you using ?

First of all, thanks so much for all of your prompt and VERY useful replies--much appreciated.

Sorry to say, I have not YET upgraded my (dinosaur) version of Hoster (version 3.321). I do consider upgrading, from time to time, it's just that like a lot of people, I am very resistant to change, plus when considering factors such as my operating system, available computer storage, etc., I am concerned about the performance degradation that is sometimes associated with this type activity. Besides, I have only encountered one other situation that would have been remedied by an upgrade. I guess you can say I am a very satisfied customer...... ;)

With regard to this stereo issue--any and all help greatly appreciated. (And I am glad to know it is not just me!) My system has always sounded great in the past--just wondering how much of an improvement I would have without this situation.

The organ solo that is missing is at location 1:22 on the music track.

Its a coincidence that I checked my latest Hoster version and found the stereo not working correct as it does work on earlier previous versions so when I read your post I assumed you were using the latest version.
I can't really help much with version 3.321 as I don't have it to test with.
Are you saying the file you are playing is the one in the link you posted ?

If so try playing it via Windows media player from the same computer, if the sound is still mono or not right then it has nothing to do with Hoster, it must be a fault with that computer or the output connection on the computer or the wires from it.

What version of Windows are you using ?
Can you listen via a set of stereo headphones while playing that file via Windows media player to confirm if it's the computer or a Hoster problem.

The programmer took a look at this, and has now fixed it. Version 5.41.04 will now PLAY in Stereo as it should.

Roy - I was using an earlier version of Windows.

Hoping to upgrade both Windows AND my current version of Hoster in the very near future.
