How to create compilation disc using songs in hoster database?

I am a new Hoster user this year. A year ago I also purchased Microstudio.

I have been using Microstudio to create hour long shows on one CD, copying from my original CDGs.

Now I have my 20,000 plus songs imported from my CDGs into the hoster database.

It would save me a lot of time and effort if I could now switch from creating compiled CDGs using my original CDGS over to creating a compiled CDG from my stored KMA files in Hoster. Is there a way to do this? I tried to bring my entire database into Microstudio but discovered it cannot handle more than 8,000 songs or so at a time. Is there a way to designate 15 or 20 songs in hoster to be compiled by Microstudio onto a cdg?

Thanks for any ideas on this.

Smoky

I don't know why you find it only imports 8000 or so at a time
I have about 19000 and it imports them all OK.
Assuming you are using version 4.30 there are a couple of ways you can get your kma or kmh files from Hoster into the write disc dialog.

First of you should be able to add kma or kmh files via the write disc dialog regardless of whether you have any folders listed in Microstudios main dialog or not.
Just select the write disc tab and go straight to the dialog. Then choose Add songs and brows to your KMA folder select your files there and add them to the list in the write disc dialog. make sure you have karaoke button selected, make sure your happy with the order then choose the write cd.

The other way is to import them into Microstudio then add your selected tracks to the right hand panel selected them all from there and choose add to write disc.

Try this to import your songs from Hoster, select the folders button, then select each folder path listed and remove them all, once no file paths are listed choose Add, brows to your Hosters kma files make sure it is open and you can see the contents of the folder listed and press select then save & close and confirm yes to scan.
It might take a time after it finishes scanning but after a short time should confirm exactly how many files it imported.

Roy:

Thanks so much. I have been slow getting back to you but have been busy with other matters. Your suggestions worked great. I used the approach of writing disc and adding song files from my hard drive. Worked like a charm! Thanks!
