Re: How do I completely re-enter my song book?
When you say "I am deleting all of the songs from my song book"
Are you meaning you wish to keep the files in the Hoster database but not have them print out in the songbook ? Or do you want to remove them completely from the database ? If it's the first part just not have them print out then try this: From the Tools/Edit dialog select the multiples button then list all the files that you don't want to print. If it's all the existing files then enter the Wild card symbol * in the search box and press find to list them all then use the shift+ left click to select the required songs then tick the box for hide in song book and press apply. Now from the songbook dialog tick the box to exclude checked items list and in the list also tick the "Hide in Songbook" box. If you want to remove them from the database try this: From the rebuild database dialog, the list at the bottom left contains all the file paths to the imported files, highlight each one you want to remove from the data base and press the exclude folder button. This will remove all the files in that folder from the database, if you have a lot of separate folders you will have to do this for each one. This will remove the files from your database but they will still be on the hard drive, if you want to remove them from your hard drive completely then use explorer to delete the files after doing the above. If you have a lot of folders listed in the rebuild database list and you want to just clear all and start again follow this: Open C\MTU\Hoster folder and look for the HosterInfoIndexed.ini file and delete it. Now Start Hoster, go to the rebuild database dialog, the list of folders will now be empty press the rebuild database button and it will rebuild an empty data base ready to start again from scratch. Before starting again delete any of the unwanted song folders from your hard drive else they may accidently get re-indexed again. If you decide that you do want to include a folder that you removed you should add that folder back to the list of folders before importing any new songs or you could end up with duplicated book id's or if they are kmh type imports you could just delete the accompanying kmh file then reimport them from scratch, this way will not cause the duplicate files problem if you import them back at a later date.
