![]() Hi All,
I run a show last night and found some songs that are duplicated with different artists. I'm trying to delete the ones I don't want to keep but also I want to delete the original file from that hard drive so next time I load or rebuild the database it will not bring the same files. My question is how to find the source files because ver 5.04 just delete it from the database not from the hard drive. I would request maybe next time an options to ask if you want to delete the file or not, I believe most of us we keep copy of our songs on another locations just in case something happen. |

The reason I ask is because if they are KMA files then the file is also deleted when you delete from the Edit Utility. If they were imported as KMH files then only the KMH added file is deleted.

Re: How to find source files on HD
I have 2 folders sync to the database, I rip all my CDG's to MP3G then import it to the database using the option KMH, so basically it makes 3 files the MP3, CDG and the KMH. On the second folder I have an old database that I did on KMA format and I believe the songs that I'm looking for is on that folder.
So if I delete it on the second folder where the KMA files are it should delete the source file to right?? |

An alternative idea you could try if you are just trying to stop them appearing in the search is to just rename the artist and title fields to - and they will then not show when using the search dialog (Unless you enter -) and rebuilding the database wont re list them.
