Ubuntu Question
I'll try and make this plain and short but I do need some input and suggestions. Not doing karaoke shows full time anymore. My main "Hoster" machines is an old Dell laptop. Have an older Prostar I use as back up. Neither of these machines do I use for anything else. My old desktop Dell that I do use for everything else is seeing it's last days. I am close to a replacement but am entertaining the idea of going with a laptop. I am also getting tired of "Windows problems."
Long story short; am looking at using Ubuntu for everything but MTU products. I would also like to use this New laptop as my main Hoster machine; move my old Dell laptop as back up and get rid of the old Prostar. However I would like to use this new machine for surfing; emails etc. Has anyone had any experience using Ubuntu on the same machine they use for karaoke? |

Re: Ubuntu Question
I do not have any experience dual-booting Ubuntu, however I do dual-boot Linux Mint and Windows 7. Here is a link to step-by-step instructions for set up. Keep in mind a few things--first that you will have to reformat your hard disk and set up two partitions, one for each OS. Second, you will need to install Windows FIRST as its bootloader will wipe all data on the hard disk when ran.
Hope this helps, good luck! |
