![]() We have been trying to trace this problem down to no avail. We have a Dell Inspiron 1525 with Windows 7 which is our main show computer. We have a Dell Latitude 620 with XP....here is our new problem....We have our songs on an external hard drive. We have used Hoster since Feb, 2003. with our songs on a hard drive...We added several new discs today onto the external hard drive, we used the Dell Latitude to load them. We tested them and they all played. (191 new songs). We switched the same external hard drive up to the Dell Inspiron, and some discs are not there when you search for it. They do show up in the database (which we did rebuild), but when you search for the songs in Hoster they simply are not there. After that, we switched the external hard drive bck to the Dell Latitude 620 and the songs can be played perfectly...it operates as it should. The Dell Latitude is too slow to use as a main show laptop, but we carry it in case of an emergency..which we have had to use several times...Also, the singers disc feature does not work at all in the Dell Inspiron......What is going on? We are at our wit's end...It just doesn't make sense... Is it a bug in Hoster or a problem based on the Windows Seven .....or WHAT????.Please help.....Ken and Pat

Re: some songs will not play on main computer...
Ken, Check that they are in your normal folder and Hoster didn't list them in a different folder first, like it's default folder C/MTU/KMA, Then check the folder they are in is shown in the list of folders on the other computer, if not use the Add Folder button to add it to the list, if it is listed then instead of pressing the rebuild button on the Inspiron, highlight the folder containing these new files in the list of folders in the left column, if you have the correct folder highlighted you should see the songs listed in the right hand column, then press the "Rescan" button. This will find any new kma or kmh files in that folder and should add them to the database.
Regarding the Inspiron singers disk not working, is the CD/DVD drive working for importing songs ? Check in Tools/CD/DVD Drives highlight your drive again and press Retest then check that status still reads Good then press save.
