4.32 Lite Upgrade

I last upgraded on May 28, 2010 whatever version was out at the time. Using Hoster Lite on Vista 32 Bit, any reason to upgrade? just wondering? All is working just dandy, and i don't have any search problems i've noticed. Leave well enough alone? George

Re: 4.32 Lite Upgrade

George,
It would be a free update for you, so why not update? Version 4.32 fixes only the preview play in Search which was hanging up if you played a song all the way through. It also fixed it so if you have only 1 sound card then the preview play controls do not show and you cannot use it. Preview play requires a second audio card to use this feature.
The second thing you would get by updating basically monthly would be to update the built-in database that MTU includes. For this the version number doesn't change in Hoster but does on the web page. Currently it is 4.32.10 indicating that the database was updated in October (being the 10th month). If no new version is released next month but the database is updated then it would change to 4.32.11 for November.

George, you can always find "what changed" in each Hoster version at: http://www.mtu.com/upgrades/hoster.htm#Upgrades.

To find this page for our other products:

1. Click the "Products" navigation button at the top left of each web page

2. Find the product name in the list that appears and click it

3. in the second row of navigation buttons on the product page, find the "Upgrades" button and click it

4. Scroll down on Upgrade page to find the list by versions and all the changes in each version.

We update each product Upgrades page when we release a new version.

In the case of Hoster, as Dale pointed out, we are adding around 5,000 new Brand-DiscID-Track-Artist-Title records to the Import Database each month. We try to release a new update (432.11 will be for November) in the first week. If nothing else, this will save you time importing your CDG discs.
