J-DSP under WIN95

Hi
I managed to rescue one of our last J-DSP's and IO's from the World Phone collection. I installed it into a recent PC (PII-250) and a clean WIN95 Installation.

I have 2.6 and 2.7b installed, and I can run the test suite under 2.6. All the tests pass except Host Interrupt. I double-checked the jumpers, reserved the IRQ10 in the BIOS as ISA, the software (2.7b) sees the DSP and opens, but as soon as I click Record, everything hangs. It's obvious something is wrong with the IRQ thingie, but I can't seem to dust off the braincells I used to do this last time. Does the J-DSP need to be added as a hardware device? (Like Dialogic boards...) What am I missing???

If it's too difficult, I'd be happy to trade the J-DSP/IO for a Krystal...
