Instabuttons in 4.09D take a few seconds to start up.

I have noticed that on my show laptop the instabuttons seem to take a few seconds to start their music. before, they would always start immediately. It is sort of random when they do this, and some don't do it at all.

The only thing different in my laptop is a newer HD went from 80gB to 250Gb. Yes, it is defragmented as i do so often.

Has anyone else noticed this with 4.09D (never happened in any other version) or can someone think of why this may be happening all of a sudden?

Have you changed any of the original files from .wav to mp3 or any other format so as to use the volume slider.

The only problem I had, was with Hoster crashing when I opened instabuttons after changing some of mine to MP3 format. I ended up reducing the list to 18, since then it has been alright.

I have always found it slow to start video with instabuttons so now only have 1 loaded.

I have about 18, no videos, I think one or two might be mp3's now, and it's on the laptop that I can't open the instabutton tools menu because it crashes before I get there.

If you can't open the instabuttons at all. Go to the folder were you stored your sounds and delete it. Then try opening Hoster, it will still show your choices but they won't play, Then remove a couple from the list. Exit Hoster, go to recycle bin and restore the folder you just deleted, then try opening Hoster again then the instabuttons. If it still won't open try removing all of your sounds from the instabutton list, then restore the folder from the recycle bin. Then try loading sounds one at a time until you fined the culprit.

If you still can't get it to work, reinstall checking the remove settings box.

Roy.

I can now on both laptops get the instabutton menu to open, so that is no longer the problem anymore.

But... I deleted all mp3 and mpg and wmv and left 16 wav as before.

What happens is the first time I hit an instabutton, it takes 5 to 10 seconds to start up...after that first time, that same one starts immediately. Weird???
