Lost Sound on Hoster 4.09c

Don't know exactly what happened. I set up for my show early, was playing around with the songbook feature. Went to start singing, no audio. Restarted computer, still no audio. Closed out and opened 3.4 and audio worked fine. But, still no audio in 4.09c. What did I do and how can I fix it? My comp is a Toshiba Satellite running XP.

From the Tools menu click audio controls, do you see a window with a drop down arrow at the side, this should list your audio cards. select the main one for your computer. press OK. The latest update is 4.09d which these instruction refer too, I can't remember if it was the same in 4.09c.

In 3.4 you have no choice on audio card to use. It always uses the default card for the computer.
In 4.09 if you have multiple sound cards then you can choose a different card for your audio output and another one for audio preview in search tool.
I would recommend also that you upgrade to 4.09D which was just released yesterday as this does fix a minor problem with the audio control that would show up in Vista. It also fixed a couple other bugs as well.

Just had some more thought on this. Probably a silly question but did you have the volume control on the main Hoster page turned down ?
As this feature is not in 34.
One other thing you can try is check your volume settings, if you see a volume Icon on your task bar right click it then select open volume control.
You should be able to check the volume there and unmute any if necessary.

If you dont have this on your task bar you will have to go to Start/ control panel/sounds & audio devices.
