Problems reading disc with new hoster version 3.30

I just purchased a brand new disc Monster Hits 1123 (Tom Petty & Jackson Browne) from a major Karaoke supplier. Hoster 3.30 only reads the first track on this disc and does not see the other existing tracks. Microstudio reads the tracks, but even after making a copy of the disc through Microstudio, Hoster still only sees the first track. The disc also reads fine on my cdg player. I have a Plextor PX-716A that was purchased and installed by MTU in a rackmount computer that I purchased from them 5 months ago. I get the same result on my home computer which I use to register Hoster. It has a Plextor 40/12 /40A. I also changed the setting of the "use software decoding" click box but still doesn't seem to make a difference. Wondering if any else has had the same problem?
Thanks,
Dennis

Have you tried clicking the Multisession Button? This should be showing as Red, click this and see what happens.

I have the exact same disk and the exact same problem. I did click on the red Multisession button, but it didn't change anything. I used Microstudio to import all of the tracks from the disk and made a new CD (not using the Duplicate Disk feature), and it read the copied disk appropriately. Sure don't want to have to make copies for it to work, though.

Problems reading disc with new hoster version 3.30

Well I tried with doing everything that was discussed. Did another attempt at using Microstudio (not using duplicate copy function) but still couldn't get it into Hoster. I am going to exchange the disc for another one, but after reading Songpony's comment it sounds like there may be a problem with this disc. Only difference is he was able to use Microstudio to get it into Hoster.

Unhappy monster hits discs

I haven't been able to import the last track on a monster hits disc since we went up in hoster versions.
In other words I don't remember having this problem say in 3.18 or other versions.
At one point we were having that problem with sound choice disc but they got that worked out.
Maybe we need a fix for monster hits discs:

Doug you do understand that you are replying to a two year old thread? This has long ago been fixed.

Angry last track on monster hits

I used micro studio and finally was able to change it to a BIN file and then reimport it using microstudio and then change the info to read right.
Now you can save that kma to a flash stik and copy it to your hard drive with all your other kma files and then do a song database rebuild.
A really pain in the rear to have to go through all this just for one track.

If its been fixed then why can't we import the last track on a monster hits cdg?

Wink monster hits

Well the last two times i tried to use 4.06 to import monster hits cdg's the last track would get to about half way and then freeze up just like sound choice used to do.
So if you know of something maybe i'm not doing i would really appreciate it if you could tell me what i could do shy of going the micro studio route.

Thanks Doug

The multi-session code made have gotten broken again with all the other changes they have been doing, so right now the Microstudio route is the only way to go. I had forgotten that disk was imported afew versions back and it was working then.
Just import it with Microstudio (and it will stop also locking up MS). When it stops you task manager to close MS. The file will be complete and ok. Then open Hoster and import it from Hard drive that way Hoster will compress it into a KMA file. By the way MS is also being worked on to fix this.

Next time start a new thread rather than attaching on one the is two years old and not even referring to the current version. It will be seen more effectively.

Smile reply to douglas

I'm sorry Doug I haven't been using the forums enough to know how to really navigate within them yet, so i really appreciate guys like you who have more knowledge on this than I do.
I have been using hoster for about 4 years now and until recently haven't had any problems to speak of.
But I plan to keep on being a hoster user.
There's absoulutly no way i would go back to the old disc and player method.
Anyway Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Thanks Doug Bracey
