You need to submit a Support Email from the main website (MTU.com) Support page to get a ticket opened. They will not see this here immediately.
To change your email address you need to log into your store account with your old email address and password. There you can change your email address.

What version of Hoster are you using?
What failed on the computer?
If you can give us some more detail we may be able to help you get the computer going again.

I upgraded your MTU Account to your new email (and deleted it here to block spamming).

You have Hoster 3.303... way back. We can't clear your records because they don't exist in our database... too old for our current support scripts.

You need to upgrade for $69.99 to 4.06 which includes 3.40 that is identical to 3.321a. You can read about the differences from your version at: http://www.mtu.com/upgrades/hoster.htm

Version 4.06 allows you to remove it from a computer and move it to another one without MTU's help.

Dale is a great resource who might be able to help get your old system running.

Dale, we live near Buffalo, which is on I-45 halfway between Houston and Dallas...We got the information from a laptop repair company that our problem is either the ports or video card...and in either case, they are soldered on the motherboard and we would have to replace the motherboard. I don't know why Bryan said we were running Hoster 3.03....I looked on the computer that failed and it is running 3.314 and that it was created May 24, 2006 at 2:31pm and also modified on Feb 9,2007. We downloaded onto a hard drive upgrades 3.315 and 3.316 which I don't think we ever added them to the computer but it is still in our hard drive. Could it be that he looked at the Hoster program which we bought on the Shuttle from MTU..We purchased the MTU laptop..(Prostar computer) with Hoster installed in Feb 2003, we purchased the Shuttle with the second Hoster program in late 2003.We have paid for two Hoster programs, two MTU computers, not to mention the upgrades which I never kept track of. We also have purchased the Suite (all 4 programs) & I don't remember how many upgrades to those. We reccommended MTU to several friends/associates, at least three of them purchased Programs and two purchased Laptops also. I just got informed by MTU that I can't move my program to the new computer which I purchased yesterday (XP) and that I have to purchase the 4.0 program which everybody is so unhappy with and having so much trouble getting it to run. I really want something that works, and the program that I have been running works. Do you know anything that will help us.
Pat

Pat, this latest version is not giving everyone problems. All the problems you are talking about were in the earlier versions of 4. The last version (4.06) release has had all those problems corrected. The few still having problems are the ones who have older laptops with a minimal amount of dedicated video memory. They are the only ones having the sync problems now.I am one of the beta testers and I have been through all of the problems and growing pains with this new version. I can tell you confidently that you shouldn't have problems as long as you get all the updates required (Microsoft) and have enough video memory.
I think you will like all the new features too as they really make our jobs much easier as well as making the display look so much more professional.
Actually that was not Bryan who answered you. That was Dave Cox the President of the company. If those updates were free updates then that doesn't change your registration/store account so that would be why he said it was the earlier version and those are not included with their current software for him to be able to reset it.

That should work. Look in the System controls in the Control Panel and go to the Hardware tab and click on Device Manager. Look for the Video and see what kind of card it is.
Also, be sure to go to Microsoft Updates webpage and do all the "Custom" updates. You will need them to run the newer versions.

Ace is 5 miles past nowhere. Actually we are about 15 miles south of Livingston which is about 50 miles north of Houston on US 59.

Dale, I did what you wanted...

sound, video and game controllers...
Audio Codecs
Legacy Audio Drivers
Legacy Control Devices
Sigma Tel High Definition Audio CODEC
Video Codecs
Also, my biggest problem that I can't seem to get an answer to is this:
I went into MTU to order the 4.06 and it had a warning.....and it also said that I must have a prior version installed on the computer.....
On this new (replacement) computer it doesn't have any version on it....My Hoster is installed on the computer that broke. I read that the 4.06 version can be moved from one computer to another at will....without all the problems we've always had with getting registration numbers and resetting and such. Is this true...and if it is, will this work.....
I purchase the 4.06 and install it on my old (broken) computer (yes, it will boot up...it is the video portion that failed (unable to use extended screen)
and then will I be able to just move it EASILY to my new computer...
I know almost nothing about computers...during this crisis I have just about lost it...I feel as though I'm drowning, and the person that has a life preserver is not paying attention to my drowning. You can't imagine how lost I feel, not being able to get any help. We live probaby 75 miles or so from you. Is there any way you can send me an email or call me without going through this....forum. I really appreciate all your attempts to help us. If it weren't for those attempts, I know I'd already be in a straight jacket. Is there any possibility that I could pay you to help us with our computer? We could bring it down to you. thanks Pat

Sorry I should have said display adapters and see what card you have.

According to others (I have not had to do this) you should now be able to remove it from the old and install it on the new. Can't hurt to try it. If not then MTU is going to have to do something else because there wouldn't be anything I could do at that point.

I am sorry we were out when you called. We had to go vote so had to go to town. I am not sure that I could offer any more over the phone on this, but hang on to the number and if you have any computer problems in the future then you can call.
